Our History
From Beach Volleyball to Svensk Volleyboll Championship
Follow the story of how a group of friends at Flatenbadet grew from Korpen recreational players into one of Stockholm's most ambitious volleyball clubs with competitive Division teams and growing youth programs.
How it all began
It all started with a group of friends at Flatenbadet in Skarpnäck. We had never tried beach or indoor volleyball before, but we quickly fell in love with the energy of the game.
Humble Beginnings
In 2022, we took our first steps on the Korpen courts with an incomplete team and high ambitions. Despite the challenges, we trained hard and fought our way to a respectable mid-table finish.
Rising to the Challenge
Determined to reach further, we set our sights on the Korpen championship. With new members and intense practice, we won the league title with only one single loss all season.
Aiming Higher
Inspired by our success, we aimed for the official Swedish Volleyball Championship. To compete at that level, we formed our own club with invaluable support from Rågsveds IF.
Growth and Expansion
We recruited dedicated coaches and formed a second team of strong Korpen competitors. With training twice a week, two teams entered Division 3.
Progress to Division 2
Following an undefeated season in Division 3, both teams proudly advanced to Division 2. A landmark milestone proving our rapid growth and strong team effort.
Advancement to Division 1
Through remarkable teamwork and dominant performances, Team A secured promotion to Division 1 Norra! A historic achievement elevating Rågsveds IF to national elite competition.
Where We Stand Today
Today, Team A competes in Division 1 Norra while Team B plays in Division 2 Östra. Together with our youth programs and Korpen team, we are building a thriving community in southern Stockholm.
Our Mission & Journey to Elitserien
In just three years, Rågsveds IF Volleyball has climbed from Korpen all the way to Division 1! Our sights are now set on the next milestone: reaching Elitserien. We welcome sponsors, partners, and new players to join us on this journey.
